The Ministry of Health (MoH) denied rumors that said that there is a new COVID-19 mutation in the Sultanate.
The ministry added that while the number of annual flu cases are on the rise, Coronavirus levels are still low.
An expert from the ministry said that it is normal for respiratory viruses to spread at this time of the year, adding that there is nothing to worry about.
He advised everyone to take the influenza vaccine to protect themselves from severe infections of H1N1, H3N2, and two types of B virus.
