Oman’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced the launch of its new Invest-Easy System which was unveiled yesterday [Wednesday, May 27], Oman News Agency (ONA) reports.
As per ONA, the new digital service will enable access to commercial register data for private sector establishments in a bid to consolidate partnership with the private sector.
So far, the MoCI will provide the service to 40 government departments linked to the system — which will allow for the exchange of more than 1 million data items a month.
Oman’s Commercial Register Data Service figures among the most important services linked to economic activities. Through this service, all, most, or some of the commercial register data can be exchanged — depending on the type of firm and business targeted by the MoCI’s Invest-Easy System.
The Ministry will provide access for digital systems of parties interested in the service via electronic affiliation associated with Invest-Easy, which will facilitate many transaction finalization procedures, besides saving time, effort, and money. This will enable the automatic execution of procedures without human intervention from Ministry employees, thus introducing an excellent and prompt service.
As ONA states, a decision issued by the MoCI in this regard specifies fees for applications to the commercial data exchange (via Invest-Easy) through five category options made available to applicants for commercial register data access.
The categories are as follows:
– Golden Package: Provides access to 60,000 commercial register data against a sum of RO 120,000, valid for two years.
– Silver Package: Access to 40,000 commercial register data against a sum of RO 80,000, valid for two years.
– Bronze Package: Access to 25,000 commercial register data against a sum of RO 50,000 valid for two years.
– Regular Package: Access to 10,000 commercial register data against a sum of RO 20,000, valid for two years.
– Individual applications: Commercial register data to be provided to one-time applicants against a fee of RO 5,000.
