Oman’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced that foreign investors in the Sultanate can apply online to have their residence permits renewed electronically.
In a statement issued online, MoCI said that the move comes in coordination with the Royal Oman Police and the Ministry of Manpower in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and help aid in the continuation of work among companies in the Sultanate.
Foreign investors wishing to renew permits, must submit the following documents via email to the Audit and Control of Commercial Establishments department at [email protected]:
— The company’s annual budget or recent approved financial statement.
— Company bank statements for a period of at least six months.
— Municipal licenses and lease contracts.
— A statement of the company’s expatriate workforce.
— Passport copy and a statement of transfer of wages to all employees for the last three months.
The MoCI has confirmed that all documents and applications for renewal received will be reviewed by the Ministry before being forwarded to the relevant authorities after all formalities are concluded.
