Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has debunked a rumour circulating alleging of the arrival of foreign medical teams to the Sultanate to support the country amid the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic.
A statement issued online today [Sunday, June 12] by the MoH said:
“The Ministry of Health has refuted rumours on social media about the arrival of medical staff and medical supplies from neighbouring countries to Oman to combat COVID-19.”
The Ministry further stated that it is “fully prepared to deal with the COVID-19 situation and has increased its accommodation capacity in all hospitals to treat coronavirus patients, and has reassured its trust and pride in Oman’s healthcare workers and the medical care they are providing to citizens and residents in an effort to care for patients.”
