The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) announced that it will launch an online system, which will allow adventure tourism operators to apply for a licence for organizing trips.
The system will be launched in the first quarter of this year, and the ministry is also working with Omran and the Office of the Governor of Musandam to implement the zipline project in Musandam.
The ministry also floated a tender for the supply and installation of sign boards for mountain trekking paths, and it added that it is using New Zealand as a model for adventure tourism activity, seeing as the country is considered to have one of the best adventure tourism models in the world.
