Meteor Showers in Omani Skies on Thursday Night!

Omani skies are currently witnessing annual meteor showers. The peak of the showers will be at 10 pm on Thursday, August 12^th, until 4 am on Friday, August 13^th, and the phenomenon will continue until August 24^th.

This is a perseids meteor shower, which is among the most common kinds during summer nights. The meteors are expected to fall at a rate of 60 per hour and at a speed of around 72 km/sec, and the planets Jupiter and Saturn will also be visible.
