The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs held the 5th edition of the annual Ta’aruf event yesterday. The event, which was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC), was called ‘Custodian on Earth’, and it mainly aimed to explain the religion of Islam to non-Muslims living in Oman, as well as to reverts who recently converted to the religion.
The event included an Iftar, an exhibition, a panel discussion and it featured guest speakers Dr Wael al Harrasi and Hatim Al Abdussalam, who touched on the topic of Islamophobia and misconceptions on Islam that are present in some parts of the world.
