The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) called on citizens and residents to look out for the crescent of the month of Dhul Hajjah, 1443 AH, on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022.
Officials said that if skies are clear, the moon will be visible across a number of governorates, and in some other Arab and Islamic countries.
If authorities sight the crescent on Wednesday, which is what is currently predicted, then the first day of the month of Dhul Hijjah will fall on Thursday, June 30th, which means that the Day of Arafah will be on July 8th, and the first day of Eid al Adha on July 9th.
