Indian nurse dies of COVID-19 in Oman

The Ministry of Health mourned Indian staff nurse Blessy Thomas who passed away on Monday at the Royal Hospital’s ICU due to COVID-19.

This is the first death among health workers in Oman due to the pandemic.

“The deceased was a true hero and role model of hard sincere work,” the ministry said in a tweet.

The ministry added: “His Excellency the Minister of Health, their Excellencies, as well the ministry’s personnel and all health workers in Oman express their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, may Allah grant them the strengths to bare her loss.”
