The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, arrived at the Royal Special Airport, and she was received by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
President Samia will be on an official three-day visit to the Sultanate and the two leaders are set to hold a meeting at Al Alam Palace, with the main aim of enhancing bilateral relations and promoting the interests of both nations.
The two countries have a trade partnership of OMR 30.6 million, and statistics revealed that the balance of trade for the year of 2021, was in Oman’s favour. Omani mainly exports plastic products, oil derivatives, electrical goods, and food items to Tanzania, and it mainly imports food items and meat from the African nation.
The two countries have also collaborated on projects in several areas, including in tourism, fisheries, e-trade services and logistics solutions. They also share deep-rooted historic ties, and they continue to show interest in developing their bilateral relations even further.
