The number of dead and injured continues to rise as more victims are pulled from the rubble following yesterday’s massive explosion in the Lebanese capital. In a TV address to the nation the president announced three days of mourning. The cause of the blast at the port area in Beirut is thought to be a fire which ignited a store of over two and a half thousand tonnes of highly explosive chemicals.
