His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik presided over the inauguration of the Oman Across Ages Museum in Wilayat Manah on Monday.
His Majesty the Sultan was received by the Secretary general of Royal Court Affairs, His Excellency Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, as well as the Chairman of the Museum’s Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Main Committee of the Museum Project, Director General of the Museum, and members of the main committee.
The inauguration ceremony began with His Majesty the Sultan, illuminating the painting at the memorial plaque of the museum, to mark the official opening. He then reviewed the exhibition of the foundation stone which was laid by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and later he was given the first entry ticket to the museum which was issued in his name. His Majesty the Sultan gifted the ticket to the museum as part of its collections.
After listening to a speech on the project, His Majesty was taken on a tour of the museum and he was given a souvenir gift of a model of the museum from the Oman Museum Across Ages.
