His Majesty the Sultan Concludes UAE Visit; Several Agreements Signed

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has left the UAE, following a state visit that lasted two days. During his visit, the two sides signed several agreements in the areas of renewable energy, investment, railways and modern technology. His Majesty the Sultan also gave audience to the Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Some of the agreements include:

  • An MoU that was signed in the field of investment between the investment ministries of both countries, to increase investment cooperation between the two nations.
  • An agreement that was signed the field of modern technology, to start work on the “Jusoor” Fund, and to invest in emerging technology companies.
  • An MoU between several Omani companies and a number of leading Emirati companies to implement innovative projects in the fields of iron, green aluminum and renewable energy.
  • Several agreements for the railway project linking Oman and the UAE, which included partnerships between Etihad Rail, Oman Rail and Mubadala.
