His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik chaired the Supreme Committee for Combatting COVID-19 meeting in Bait Al Mamoora Palace in Salalah.
His Majesty affirmed that the Sultanate’s institutions will continue to provide their services and support the national economy in various ways to ensure the continuity of the private sector’s activities and its performance.
His Majesty also expressed his appreciation to all institutions that are dealing with COVDI-19 pandemic in the Sultanate, stressing that Oman’s government will continue to battle the pandemic in various ways, calling on God Almighty to grant a speedy recovery, health and wellness to everyone who has contracted this disease.
His Majesty the Sultan stressed the need for all public and private institutions to follow innovative methods in order to balance health necessities while maintaining the continuity to provide services and run activities.
During the meeting , His Majesty was briefed about the epidemiological situation of the pandemic in the Sultanate and the efforts made to contain it by the health sector.
His Majesty the Sultan reviewed the developments of the pandemic and the increasing number of cases, locally and internationally, in addition to the scientific developments aimed at finding a vaccine.
