Heavy Thundershowers to Hit Northern Part of the Country in the Coming 24 Hours

Oman Meteorology issued a weather warning, saying heavy thundershowers are expected in the next 24 hours over Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah.

South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat, and North and South Al Sharqiyah are expected to see thundershowers towards the afternoon and evening and later at night, the weather conditions will extend over the governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar.

The weather situation is expected to end on Wednesday, March 29th.

The expected impacts include:

  • Overflowing wadis
  • Reduced horizontal visibility during thundershowers
  • Moderate to rough seas conditions with a maximum wave height of between 1.5 meters to 3 meters.
