Heavy Rains Expected In Northern Governorates Today

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) sent out a warning saying that heavy rains (25-50mm) accompanied by active downward winds in the range of (30-45 knots) are expected in Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiya, Buraimi and Al Dhahirah.

The thunderstorm is expected to hit in the coming hours, between 2 pm and 7 pm and hail and floods may be witnessed as well.

The CAA called on everyone to take caution and to avoid going to valleys, low places and the sea.
