His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo today [Thursday, August 27] at Bait Al Baraka palace.
The Sultanate marks the final stop on Secretary Pompeo’s Middle East tour. Joining His Majesty and Secretary Pompeo at today’s proceedings were His Highness Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and US Ambassador to Oman, Her Excellency Leslie M. Tsou.
A Tweet from the US Embassy in Oman, stated that the purpose of the meeting was to “discuss the strong US-Oman relationship.”
