French Weeks Starts Today with an Impressive Lineup of Events

In a press conference that was held earlier today, the Embassy of France in Muscat announced that its annual French Weeks event has officially started. this year’s edition was expanded from one week to almost one month, and it will be held from Tuesday, February 28th until March 21st.

The event features a number of events, including a photo exhibition by a renowned French photographer and a multicultural music concert that will see the union of Palestinian oud and a French flute player.

Other events include a closed-door, informal discussion of women in arts on International Women’s Day, an event to promote France as a tourist destination, and a gastronomical experience of French cuisine.

 

Here is the list of events for French Weeks:

  • “Waliorejea” photo exhibition by French documentarist, photographer, videographer Ania Gruca (Bait Muzna Gallery – February 28th until March 21st)
  • “Salon France-Oman” (French Residency – March 5th)
  • “Human Capital: Women & Young People in Front” Business Conference (Crowne Plaza Qurum Hotel – March 6th from 8 am to 12 pm)
  • “Marhaba France-Spain” (March 7th and 8th)
  • Conference by giant frescoes performer Saype (French-Omani Centre – March 12th at 7 pm)
  • “Relay Around the World” (March 14th)
  • Launching of the Pman chapter of the France Alumni Network (French Residency – March 14th at 6:30 pm)
  • “Night of Francophonie” (French-Omani centre – March 20th)
  • Multicultural musical performance (March 21st(
