A family of five drowned in Al Sawadi beach in Wilayat Barka earlier today, which resulted in the death of the father and one child.
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) managed to rescue the mother and another child, and the authority initially issued a statement, saying that the search is still ongoing for a third child who was reported missing, but in an updated statement, the CDAA said that the child was unfortunately found dead.
The CDAA affirmed the necessity of following safety guidelines when going to the sea and avoiding swimming in undesignated areas.
