Critics called the opening episodes of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ “dazzling” but “slow”. The Guardian said it was “astounding” TV that would be fit for the cinema, and reports say the show may be the most expensive TV show ever made, with a total cost of around 1 billion dollars.

Snapchat announced that it will downsize, by cutting out around 20% of its staff, and shutting down a string of new projects. These moves come in response to the massive drop that the company has witnessed, going from a value of $130 billion about a year ago, to less than $20 billion today.

Meta announced that its planning to add more paid features to Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. This move comes after the company’s ads were severely hurt by Apple’s ad tracking changes on iOS, and a broader decline in digital ad spending.
