The latest report from Oman Meteorology showed that Cyclone Biparjoy has intensified into a category 3 storm, and that it is moving north towards Pakistan and northern India, with no chance of a direct impact on Oman.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said however, that there is still a high sea wave alert on the coasts of the Arabian Sea, with waves of 3-6 meters expected on Sunday.
