The Ministry of Health reported 104 new COVID-19 cases, and 2 COVID-related deaths in a 24-hour period. This is a stark increase from around 2 weeks ago, when the country was only recording around 4-5 cases per day.
During a press conference held earlier this week, the Minister of Health, Dr Ahmed al Saeedi, urged everyone to get the third shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, saying that it takes the immunity against the virus up to 75%.
The Ministry of Health (MoH) called on everyone to continue taking their precautions.
