Businesses that will be prioritized in the national emergency interest-free loan scheme have been announced at the 12th press conference held by the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus.

said that the list includes full-time taxi drivers, driving instructors, businesses owned by female entrepreneurs like: nurseries, and beauty salons, SMEs that have Riyada Card, along with ones which have taken loans from Al Rufd Fund, and micro-businesses that are affected by the pandemic and have already taken loans from Oman Development Bank.
He said that the scheme is planned for a period of four years (Time to repay), adding that deserving people should submit their applications at Oman Development Bank branches.
More than 25,000 institutes/individuals are expected to benefit from this service, according to Al Hanaei.
Dr. Ahmed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport said that the Supreme Committee has also discussed increasing fines for not wearing face-masks in public places to more than OMR 20.
