COVID-19: Two repatriation flights carrying Indian nationals to depart Oman today

Two Air India Express flights carrying Indian citizens from Oman to the cities of Kannur and Bhubaneshwar are set to depart from Muscat International Airport this afternoon.

In statements issued online today [Wednesday, June 3], the Indian Embassy in Oman confirmed that check-in was underway for the two flights, which fall under the Republic’s Vande Bharat mission which has repatriated around 57,000 Indian citizens abroad since May 6.

The flights departing from Oman today are part of a roster of 15 scheduled between May 28-June 7, 2020 organized by the Indian government with the support of local authorities in Oman.

As per the Embassy, the full flight schedule is as follows:

May 28: Muscat — Kozhikode
May 28: Salalah — Kannur
May 29: Muscat — Kochi
May 30: Muscat — Jaipur
May 30: Muscat — Ahmedabad
May 30: Muscat — Trivandrum
May 31: Salalah — Kannur
June 1: Muscat — Kozhikode
June 1: Salalah — Kannur
June 2: Muscat — Srinagar
June 3: Muscat — Bhubaneshwar
June 3: Muscat — Kannur
June 4: Muscat — Kochi
June 4: Muscat — Trivandrum
June 7: Muscat — Chennai
