COVID-19: ROP fine violators in Al Buraimi for failing to comply with face-mask rules

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have taken action against a group of people in Al Buraimi Governorate for failing to adhere to regulations set forth by the Supreme Committee for COVID-19 regarding the compulsory use of face-masks while in public.

In a statement issued online, the ROP have confirmed that the individuals will face fines resulting from their actions. On Thursday, May 21, Oman’s Supreme Committee issued a directive that anyone found to be in public without wearing a face-mask will be subject to a fine of OMR 20.
