COVID-19: Oman sees spike in fatalities with 28 new deaths registered over 3 days

After the long weekend, Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 28 new COVID-19 fatalities in the country.

In a statement issued online today [Monday, August 24], the MoH has confirmed that the cumulative total number of coronavirus casualties in the Sultanate now stands at 637.

Total cases of COVID-19 in Oman are now at 84,509, with a cumulative total of 740 registered today after the three-day holiday weekend.

The rate of recoveries, however has touched 93.3 per cent with 78,912 currently registered.
