COVID-19: Oman registers 585 new cases Wednesday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 585 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued for the first time since Thursday July 30, the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 80,286.

Of the 585 new cases announced today, 266 are among Omani citizens and 319 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 1496, bringing the total number of patients in the Sultanate who are now coronavirus-free to 69,803.

6 more fatalities have been recorded, bringing the total of deaths in  the Sultanate due to COVID-19 up to 488.
