COVID-19: Oman registers 354 new cases and 10 deaths on Friday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 354 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Friday, August 7], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 81,067.

Of the 354 new cases announced today, 289 are among Omani citizens and 65 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 1,353, bringing the total number of patients in the Sultanate who are now coronavirus-free to 72,263.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 502 with 10 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman has risen to 498, with 172 in ICU.
