COVID-19: Oman registers 1,557 new cases Monday, total now 47,735

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,557 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate, while the number of daily recoveries is 1,229.

In a statement issued online today [Monday, July 6], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 47,735, while total recoveries have now reached 29,146.

Of the new cases announced today, 1,057 are among Omani citizens and 500 are among non-Omani residents. 


The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 218 with 5 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 465, with 129 in ICU.
