COVID-19: Oman registers 1,518 new cases Thursday, total now 51,725

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,518 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate, while the number of daily recoveries is 1,016.

In a statement issued online today [Thursday, July 9], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 51,725 while total recoveries have now reached 33,021.

Of the new cases announced today, 1,068 are among Omani citizens and 450 are among non-Omani residents. 

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 236 with 3 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 466, with 129 in ICU.
