COVID-19: Oman registers 1,374 new cases Friday, total now 43,929

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,374 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate, while the number of daily recoveries is 851.

In a statement issued online today [Friday, July 3], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 43,929, while total recoveries have now reached 26,169.

Of the new cases announced today, 839 are among Omani citizens and 535 are among non-Omani residents. 

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 193 with 5 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 447, with 113 in ICU.

A total of 4,049 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the last 24 hours.
