COVID-19: Oman registers 1,311 new cases, total now 65,504

Oman’s Ministry of Health has announced the registration of 1,311 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

 

In a statement issued online today [Saturday, July 18th], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 65,504.

 

Of the 1,311 new cases announced today, 1,078 are among Omani citizens and 233 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 1,322, bringing the total number of patients in the Sultanate who are now coronavirus-free to 42,772.

 

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 308 with 10 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman has risen to 574, with 164 in ICU.

 

A total of 3,976 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the last 24 hours.
