COVID-19: Oman registers 1,010 new cases Tuesday, total now 40,070

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,010 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate, while the number of daily recoveries is 1,003

In a statement issued online, the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 40,070, while total recoveries have now reached 32,425.

Of the new cases announced today, 776 are among Omani citizens and 234 are among non-Omani residents. 

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 176 with 7 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 437, with 117 in ICU.

A total of 3,121 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the last 24 hours.
