COVID-19: Oman records 2 more fatalities on Wednesday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has indicated that the number of COVID-19 deaths in the Sultanate has risen by 2 new fatalities.

Today [Wednesday, June 24], in its daily statement announcing the registration of new COVID-19 cases in Oman, the MoH also noted that the number of COVID-19-related deaths now stands at 142. 

As of today, 1,142 new cases of the novel coronavirus have been registered by health authorities, bringing the overall total in the country to 33,536, with 17,972 recoveries also recorded.

The MoH has also confirmed that 417 patients with COVID-19 are currently admitted to hospital in Oman, with 100 of those patients in intensive care.
