COVID-19 Oman: New recoveries surpass new cases by 1,079 to 1,043 on Monday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,043 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Monday, June 15], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 24,524.

Notably, the number of new recoveries announced today — 1,079, has surpassed the daily number of new cases [1,403]. Total recovery figures have now risen to 9,533.

Of the 1,043 new cases of COVID-19 registered, 614 are among Omani citizens and 429 are among non-Omani residents. The MoH has also confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 fatalities has now reached 108.

As per the Ministry, there are currently 317 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Oman, with 104 of them in intensive care. There have also been 3,283 coronavirus tests carried out in Oman over the last 24 hours.
