COVID-19: Muttrah sees drop in new cases, total cases in Seeb surpass 4,000

Oman has registered 604 new cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus today [Monday, June 8], bringing the total number in the country to 17,486. The latest figures show that Muscat Governorate saw cases rise by 425 as of today, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the capital to 13,243.

Among the Wilayats with the highest numbers of cases, Seeb saw an increase of 173 cases today, followed by the Wilayat of Bausher with 126 new cases, and the Wilayat of Muttrah with 81 new cases.

Authorities at the Ministry of Health (MoH) have confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate have risen to 3,793, with 6 new fatalities also reported today, marking a total of 81 deaths.
