As rates of new COVID-19 infections in the Sultanate continue to rise, Oman’s Government Communications Centre (GC) has reverted its Twitter handle back to ‘OmanVSCovid19’.
The social media account, where the public can follow all official news and announcements related to COVID-19 recovery efforts in the Sultanate, had initially unveiled a re-branding of its name to ‘Oman To Recovery’ on June 14.
The move to revert back to the platform’s previous branding comes after the Sultanate registered a record high number of daily new cases yesterday [Monday, July 13], with 2,164 new infections bringing the country’s cumulative total to 58,179.
