COVID-19: Cases in Seeb approach 6,000 as total in Muscat hits 17,920

As Oman records 1,043 new COVID-19 cases today [Monday, June 15], the national total now stands at 24,524 as per the Ministry of Health (MoH). Of these, Muscat Governorate recorded 515 new cases today, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the capital to 17,920.

Among the Wilayats, Seeb now still has the highest number of total cases in the governorate at 5,910, with 233 new cases registered on Monday. Bausher recorded the second highest daily number of new cases at 138, followed by Muttrah with 79 new cases.

Authorities at the MoH have confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate have risen to 9,533, with 4 new fatalities also reported today, marking a total of 108 deaths.
