An Omani family was robbed by people who were impersonating police officers in the Indian city of Mumbai, and Oman’s consulate in the city released a statement, saying that it was following up on the issue.
The man whose family was robbed, left the hotel at around 10:30 pm with his wife, brother and nephew, for a night walk and to buy medicines from a nearby store.
The consulate called on citizens who are visiting the city, to avoid carrying large amounts of cash or valuable possessions and to not go out in the late hours of the night.
