Buckingham Palace: Prince Philip Has Died At 99

The Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II’s husband and Duke of Edinburgh, has died today at the age of 99.

A statement from the Buckingham Palace said: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.” 

The statement added that he passed away peacefully at Windsdor Castle.

Recently in March, Prince Philip, who suffered from a pre-existing heart condition,  left hospital after a month-long stay for treatment.

The Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen had four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
