Breaking News: Supreme Committee Announces New Restrictions

The Supreme Committee issued several new decisions today:
- The night lockdown hours and the decision to ban all commercial activities from 9 pm to 4 am will continue until Saturday, May 8, 2021 in all of the Sultanate’s governorates.
- The movement ban on all individuals and vehicles will start from 7 pm to 4 am, starting from the evening of Saturday, May 8, 2021 until the morning of Saturday May 15, 2021, with the exception of the previously announced categories. During this time, all commercial activities will be banned throughout the day, with the exception of food stores, gas stations, health institutions and pharmacies. Home delivery services will be allowed for all goods.
- Government sector employees will adopt a remote working system starting from Sunday May 9, 2021 until Tuesday May 11, 2021. The Supreme Committee also urged private sector companies to reduce the number of employees who are required to physically attend work and implement remote working systems.
- Eid prayers, traditional Eid markets (Al-Hayat) and gatherings of all kinds including those done in parks and beaches will be banned during the Eid holiday.
