Oman’s Supreme Committee for COVID-19 has announced today [Wednesday, May 27] that the health isolation of Muscat Governorate will be lifted as of Friday, May 29.

In a series of new decisions put forth at today’s Supreme Committee meeting, the lifting of lockdown restrictions for the governorate will now mean that people from outside Muscat will be allowed to enter and leave the capital.

The Supreme Committee has also announced today that the ruling that excuses government sector employees from going to offices will also be lifted, and that at least 50 per cent of employees should return to offices in every authority, starting from Sunday, May 31.
