His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued directives to form a special committee to deal with COVID-19’s impact on the Sultanate’s economy, The Private Office said on Sunday [June 14].
The new committee will fall under the umbrella of the Supreme Committee for COVID-19, and will be chaired by His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
According to the statement, the newly-formed committee will also orchestrate the best means to ensure a fast return of business activities in order to accelerate economic growth in the nation.
