#BREAKING: 810 new cases of COVID-19 registered in Oman, total now 26,079

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 810 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Wednesday, June 17], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 26,079.

Of the 810 new cases announced today, 468 are among Omani citizens and 342 are among non-Omani residents. The MoH has also confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries have risen to 11,797, with 708 new recoveries announced today. Oman’s COVID-19 death toll has also risen to a total of 116 fatalities.

As per the MoH, there are currently 362 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Oman, 102 of whom are in intensive care. As of today, 2,797 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country over the last 24 hours.
