Bank Muscat added QR-code-based payments to its digital payments methods, which will allow retail outlets to accept digital payments from the Mobile Banking app or Wallet of any bank in Oman.
The bank already offered several digital payment methods, including Debit, Prepaid and Credit Cards, wearables, Mobile wallets, and the Mobile Banking app, and an official from the bank said that the newly-introduced method of payment, can easily be implemented by businesses across the country, including the small ones.
An official from the bank’s Digital Banking sector said that the company is making a rapid shift to digital payments, adding that the addition of new methods, will allow its customers to use the e-payment option that is most convenient to them.
