Amouage Introduces New Perfumes to its Essences Collection

Merge 104.8  |  06 January 2026

Amouage expands its acclaimed Essences Collection with Act II, a trilogy of perfumes inspired by the geometry of time. Conceived by Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon, the collection explores time not as a measure, but as a fundamental force shaping existence, expressed through three geometric forms: a line, a dot, and a circle.

The three new fragrances translate these concepts into scent. Line 618, created by Nathalie Lorson, represents infinite progression, unfolding from vibrant spice and fruit into a balanced, enduring composition of woods, leather, and patchouli. Remain, by Pierre Negrin, captures the intensity of a single moment, opening with vivid brightness before deepening into a rich, sensual blend anchored by resins, woods, and animalic notes. Sequence, composed by Julien Rasquinet, reflects the cycle of endless renewal, moving from luminous fruits and florals into profound leathery, woody depths, embodying the rhythm of endings becoming beginnings.

Each fragrance in the Essences Collection undergoes an innovative double-infusion process, with perfume concentrates infused for six months with aged Australian sandalwood chips, and the alcohol matured in oakwood barrels crafted in France. This extended process reveals new facets of depth, texture, and sophistication within each scent.

Presented in bespoke Essences flacons inspired by Oman’s desert landscape and the iconic Amouage emblem, Essences Act II is a refined exploration of time, form, and craftsmanship—an olfactory expression of moments, movement, and eternity.
