Amouage Debuts In Seoul

Merge 104.8  |  27 January 2026

Amouage, the independent Omani High Perfumery House, has unveiled its first ephemeral boutique in Seoul, located steps from Dosan Park in the city’s Apgujeong district. This opening marks an important chapter for the House as it brings its world of craftsmanship, artistry, and storytelling to South Korea, a market defined by creativity, cultural curiosity, and a deep engagement with beauty.

Recognised worldwide for its ability to bridge heritage with contemporary expression, Amouage invites visitors to discover its olfactory universe within a multi-sensory space. Conceived as an immersive journey, the boutique presents the House’s signature collections alongside some of its most emblematic creations, encouraging exploration, dialogue, and emotional connection.

Design Inspired by Place and Heritage

The space has been conceived as a contemporary interpretation of Oman’s landscapes, architecture, and cultural narratives. Sculptural lines echo mountain ridges and flowing falajs, while warm tones of orange, copper, and gold recall the light of the Omani desert at sunset. Stone textures and reinterpreted Arabic geometric motifs shape an environment where permanence and transience coexist.

Designed as an intimate sanctuary for discovery, the boutique balances calm exploration with strong visual presence. Bespoke services, including fragrance engraving and refined luxury gift wrapping, further personalise the experience, allowing each visit to unfold at a human pace.

Renaud Salmon, Chief Creative Officer of Amouage, commented:

“Over the years, I have fallen in love with Seoul through my many visits. Its creative energy, cultural confidence, and the dynamism of its beauty industry make it a deeply inspiring place. Dosan Park felt immediately right for Amouage. It is a location where high luxury, history, and the natural beauty of the park coexist, changing character from day to night. I was also deeply drawn to the building itself. Its architecture and presence are striking, and its history as a gallery space made it feel like a natural home for a House that believes fragrance is a cultural and artistic medium. Opening our first immersive space here is both a personal and creative milestone.”
