Oman’s Ministry of Manpower has announced a list of 11 occupations in the private sector that have now officially been Omanized.
In a circular to media today [Sunday, July 5], the list, issued by H.E Abdullah Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower, under Ministerial Resolution No. 182/2020, includes:
— Campus accommodation supervisor
— General sociologist
— Social service specialist
— Social welfare specialist
— Social psychologist
— General social worker
— Student activities specialist
— Social research technician
— Social services technician
— Assistant social services technician
— Social guidance advisor
The Ministerial Decision, which was signed off on June 25, clarifies that ongoing contracts of non-Omani workers in the list above will be active until their expiry.
